Bristol Channel Swimming

The Bristol Channel has one of the largest tidal ranges in the world.

A huge amount of water funnels in and out of this channel every 6 hours, which makes it one of most exciting venues for open water swimming.

Epic Swim co aims to assist swimmers in realising their goals and ambitions within this stretch of water, and to promote this amazing channel to the wider community. We are spoilt for choice with many routes available, from islands and point to point swims along the coast, to 6hr channel swim adventures in the “shallow” end such as Penarth to Weston (20k), and swim routes longer than the English Channel in the “deep” end such as Swansea to Ilfracombe (45k as the crow flies).

You have the choice of officially ratifying your swim as a channel swim through the BCSA, or if you’d prefer to wear a wetsuit that’s fine by us. Any swim’s a win! For more information about Rules and ratifying please click on the links to the organisation below:
